  • Description
  • The minutes from the 1950 Washington Pension Union Convention that took place in Seattle. The minutes discuss recent legislation, including the McCarran Act which sought to register Communist organizations, which the WPU strongly opposed. The minutes include an early outline of how the WPU planned to fight the act. This is an example of the political climate in the wake of the Canwell Hearings and with the impending Red Scare.
