  • Description
  • The National Legislative Committee, part of the Anti-Saloon League of America, writes to George Cotterill to report on the food used in the manufacture of alcohol. They write that "the brewers used in making alcoholic beverages nearly twice as much as foodstuff as the distillers." They argue that beer should be banned during prohibition as well as hard alcohol. Included is a report on the issue.
