  • Amendment to the Immigration Act of 1917 allowing deportable aliens, with "good moral character for the preceding five years" to be deported to the country of their choosing, or to suspend deportation if said alien has resided in the United States continuously for seven years and is eligible for naturalization, or if deportation would result in economic hardship to a citizen, legal spouse, or children of said alien.
