  • Still operating at 219 East Columbia Street. Twenty-four 250 gallon barrels and seventeen 50 gallon barrels of mash were found. Two stills were in operation. The man gave his name as John Penzo was captured on the roof after a chase. Police officers on the raid were: George Swain, Phil Steigerwald, Walter Hollman, Alfred Figel and Deputy Sheriffs, Walter Fritz, Clarence Elixman and Tom Atkins.
