I feel lonely- a stranger in this town. But I seem to be happy, too, as I find myself constantly whistling or humming. I'm not musical, and don't my friends know it. But music is in my soul today. Yesterday at 8:30 a.m. I parted with my friends at 3C, and loaded with things, I went to the office. There I was released. With Harry Ault of the Tacoma Marshal's office we scurried off in his new Dodge to his office. The scenery was wonderful and refreshing. The radio was simply divine- it was such a change to hear good music + pleasant harmony again. At Tacoma I sat like an official in the front office all day. Part of the time was spent sending cards to friends about the good news. At noon, I had... less
