A two page letter dated April 1, 1814 and sent from Fort Williams in Alabama. Coffee describes a victorious battle fought against the Creek Indians at the bend of the "Tallepoosey" [Tallapoosa] River. He hopes to see an end to the Creek War within 10 days time.
