  • Fort Wayne Firefighters Museum 226 West Washington Blvd. This is the first alarm system in the city of Fort Wayne, IN. When a fire alarm box on the street corner was pulled the signal went to the alarm room at Fire Station No. 1 and these two pieces of equipment repeated the box number to all the fire stations without the help of a dispatcher. This system was used until 1922 when the slate boards and dispatchers were used. Date 01/00/1984.
