The handle has diagonal slash marks on the sides and top. Dimensions are 31" L x 12" W x 4" D. Cradle boards were used by mothers to secure their infants while they went about their work. The boards would be strapped to the mother's back. The design also allowed it to stand up and rest against a tree.
