A letter to an unidentified recipient in which Edward Hitchcok requests that the recipient offer his thoughts on certain aspects of Hitchcock's manuscript of "Reminiscences of Amherst College." Hitchcock specifically asks questions relating to his representation of the college and whether he has overstepped his bounds in any way. The item is undated. It has been assumed that this letter dates to the year prior to the publication of "Reminiscences of Amherst College," which was published in 1863.
