  • In this article, the author illustrates the life of Constantino Gerakis -- or known in Thai as ""Okya Wichaiyen""-- who came from Greece and worked for King Narai of Ayutthaya in the eighteenth century. At 41, he was beheaded for being treacherous to the Siamese Court. The author also describes his recent meeting with one of the descendants of Constantino Gerakis in France.
