  • E.W. Vinnedge, manager of the North Bend Lumber Company of Edgewick, Washington, writes to Senator Miles Poindexter expressing his anti-anarchist views in the wake of the Centralia Massacre of 1919. Vinnedge argues that Congress should pass harsher laws against members of the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World). He suggests that all members of the IWW should be considered felons and subject to deportation.
