  • Description
  • The decision to build the new Kingdome stadium in the Chinatown/International District sparked protest from many who lived in the neighborhood. Once it became apparent that the stadium would be built, community activists used the increased awareness of neighborhood issues to lobby for more elderly low-income housing in the area. In this image, protestors are marching to the local Housing and Urban Development (HUD) office to meet with officials.
