Floral motif; at top, Aldus printer's device; open book; at bottom, closed books (one labeled on spine: "Cicero | Aldus 1501", one with decorated edges); hourglass, manuscript page [illegible].  Perry book collection was sold at auction in New York, by Anderson, 21 April 1908. A notice in the New York Times on 12 April 1908 refers to the fine Ralph Adams, Roycroft, and Prideaux bindings and Kelmscott Press material in the collection. Ads highlight incunabula, including a Biblia Latina (1447 [sic]) on vellum.  Name of designer from John Starr Stewart's label.
