Hausler Building, Seattle, ca. 1928
Created Date | ca. 1928 |
Description | Rhinehold and Tillie Hausler opened the first of their grocery stores in 1901, a small one-room cabin in Hillman City. In 1905 they moved to a new wooden building at Rainier and Rose in Rainier Beach, and in 1921 they built a new brick building next door (shown in this image). This was one of the finest buildings in the area, and housed a drugstore and hardware store. |
