Armorial Ownership 64x78 mm JAMES JOHN FALCONER | CORDI DAT ANIMUS ALAS Coat of arms. Escutcheon: Argent (silver) a falcon's head proper issuing out of a man's heart gules (red) between three mullets (stars) azure, a bordure of the last (i.e. azure). Crest: A man's heart gules winged with two falcons' wings proper. Motto: Cordi dat animus alas. (cf. Burke)  Arms of the Falconers of Lentran, co. Inverness, 1868 (cf. Burke)  Motto: Cordi dat animus alas = The soul gives wings to the heart.
