This photograph shows the students from the class of 1894 at Springfield College, at the time known as the International YMCA Training School. Page (Williamsport, Pennsylvania). Of particular importance is William Morgan, the inventor of Volleyball, who is the last man on the right in the upper row. Morgan creates Volleyball in 1895 at the Holyoke, Massachusetts YMCA, a little over a year after graduating from Springfield College.
