Patsy Babyette is part of the 'Patsy' collection which was advertised as 'The Personality Doll, The Miss of a Million Moods, Every Pose a Picture.' Effanbee helped to stabilize the U.S. doll industry by creating this 'wardrobe doll' line that encouraged the sale of doll clothes throughout the year. Also introduced the fan club to the industry which is a tactic still used by some companies such as Mattel. Many European doll companies copied the 'Patsies' which demonstrates EffanBee's effect on the world market. America's new found success within the doll industry represents their overall strength as an economic and commercial power.
