McPherson probably meant Stebbin Point on St. Michael Island. The boat carrying the party to St. Michael was storm-bound off this point for three days, according to McPherson's report. The party finally reached St. Michael on October 5, 1914, embarked on the steamer Victoria, and reached Seattle on October 15th.PH Coll 495.2-76.
