  • Unidentified African (Nigerian?) drum. This instrument has relatively straight sides with a smooth golden brown lacquered finish. White nylon lacing is thread through a circle of holes which are cut into the lower portion of the drum. The lacing is attached to a wooden hoop that secures the head of the drum and rests on another skin-covered hoop. The outer hoop is held together with wire.
