    The Structure of Library 21 is one part of a comprehensive report delivered to the ALA Advisory Committee in preparation for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. In addition to this section, which describes each of the five proposed areas, or elements, to be featured in the Library 21 exhibit at the fair, the report includes the following: a brief introduction summarizing new technologies to be introduced at the exhibit; a progress report on the architecture and design of the exhibit; the overall objectives of Library 21; a short overview of staffing and training considerations; projected costs and suggested fundraising methods; a projected work schedule; a concluding summary and list of recommendations to further improve the exhibit; and appendices which include more detailed information about specific technological features of the exhibit, as well as several transcripts of letters received by potential industrial participants concerning their involvement with Library 21. less
