Fran began her professional career three years ago in a Chicago revival of 'Uncle Tom's Cabin,' she then took a screen test in New York and went to Hollywood to appear in two movies, 'White Parade' and 'Music in the Air.' In 1935 she was back in legitimate, playing in Pasadena, Calif., and in New York in 'Play Genius Play.' She began her radio work in Chicago in February, 1936. Today's Children is heard over the NBC-Red network daily except Saturday and Sunday at 10:45 a.m., EST.". less
