  • A Diploma awarded on June 7, 1887 to Mr. Frederick Law certifying that he finished the Secretarial Course of the School for Christian Workers, now Springfield College. Notice the red seal in the low left corner of the Diploma where it reads “Fellow Helpers to the Truth”.     A Diploma awarded on June 7, 1887 to Mr. Frederick Law certifying that he finished the Secretarial Course of the School for Christian Workers, now Springfield College. Notice the red seal in the low left corner of the Diploma where it reads “Fellow Helpers to the Truth”. Mr. Law was a member of the first class to receive diplomas from the School of Christian Workers. Law was originally from West New Brighton, New York. The other six students receiving diplomas in 1887 were: Clarence R. Boucher, from Martindale, New York; Burt W. Gillett from Watertown, New York; Philo P. Haven from East Oakland, California; Frank H. Marshall from Meriden, Connecticut; and, Frank M. Pratt from Montreal (Canada). The diploma was signed by David Allan Reed (President of the School), T.H. Hawks, S.L. Merrell, E.P. Armstrong, Josepg T. Herrick, W.H.P. Faunce (Instructors) and J.T. Bowne (Special Instructor). less
