The Heywood-Wakefield Company June 29, 1938 Roll of Honor Banquet held at the Chestnut Street Methodist Church Auditorium in Gardner, Massachusetts. In the picture people are seated at long tables set for a meal. A small band is on the stage. The Heywood-Wakefield Company was started in 1826 in Gardner Massachusetts. By 1926 it had become the largest furniture manufacturing company in America. The company closed in 1979. Is part of the W.
