View Full Item
This is a team photograph of the 1974 Springfield College Field Hockey team. The players are sitting on the bench, in front of them are two field hockey sticks. The final season score is 13-0-1. The Springfield College Field Hockey program started in the 1950s as an intramural sport. The early days consisted of few practices and contests and gradually grew into the intercollegiate sport it is today. In 1970, the program's iconic coach, Dottie Zenaty returned to her alma mater for her career in coaching field hockey. As the team continues to build and grow, only more success can be seen in the future.
