The test, during joint inspection training with the 615th Air Mobility Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, California, for PATRIOT HOOK Exercise, is necessary to determine where to place the vehicle inside an aircraft and still maintain the aircrafts balance in flight. The PATRIOT HOOK Exercise 2001, a joint force exercise involving four separate airfields in Southern California - March Air Reserve Base, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Los Alamitos Army Air Field, and San Clemente Naval Landing Field. At the four airfields units practice air deployment of fighting forces and equipment during a wartime scenario.
