The original finding aid described this photograph as: [Complete] Scene Caption: While contractors were having a tough time running wires and cables through the subfloor conduits in the Center for Y2K Strategic Stability, US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Randy Blaisdell (not shown) watched, thinking there had to be a better way for such a simple task. He remembered the story from Offutt , where B-26 and B-29's were built using ferrets. The ferrets would pull cables throughout the aircrafts while they were being built. He then brought from home his pet ferret, Misty. Misty was fitted with a harness where cables were attached and sure enough, Misty did pull the cables through the conduit. Misty was rewarded after each run with strawberry Pop-tart morsels.
