Interview conducted by Edward Hollander with Reverend Joseph Carter, the first African American man who registered to vote in the West Feliciana Parish in Louisiana. This audio contains a discussion of how CORE members aided African Americans to register to vote and the many obstacles and threats encountered by African Americans who registered.
