  • On June 30, 1919, the Taylor Avenue streetcar's air brakes failed on Queen Anne Hill. The motorman tried using the hand brakes, but couldn't stop the car. It jumped its track at the Aloha Street curve, and shot across the street. It jumped its track at the Aloha Street curve, and shot across the street.
