A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman writes about the publication of a new work by Gideon Algernon Mantell in England and its coming American edition, which Hitchcock is interested in obtaining. Silliman also briefly mentions that a new edition of Robert Bakewell's "Introduction to Geology" is out with an appendix by Silliman. Silliman estimates the prices of these two works.
