Holograph. Although this letter is unsigned, it is presumably by Anne Warren Weston. The first and second pages of this letter have been cut off so that only 1 1/4 x 8 1/8 inches remain. Additionally, the end of this letter is missing. Anne enumerates her letters of acknowledgement to contributors abroad. She is sending twelve of the best issues of the Liberty Bell, some of which the addressee can present to Lady Byron and others. Anne will send the Liberty Bells to H. Martineau, (Jane M.) Arnold, and (Eliza) Fletcher. "After the box is off, I hope the taste of the Fair will be out of my mouth." She discusses business affairs connected with the Liberty Bell. As there will not be enough to pay the bills, Anne would be glad to receive "some of [Edward S.] Abdy's legacy when you get it." Anne plans to have the next Liberty Bell edited by Edmund Quincy, who "would dote on doing it." Anne plans to visit Mrs. Follen in Cambridge. less
