A reprint of the work originally pub. as a weekly periodical, ed. by John Trenchard and Thomas Gordon. The first collected ed., 1721, contains 53 numbers, dated from Jan. 20, 1720, to Jan. 4, 1720 [O.S.] Other papers were added by Thomas Gordon in later editions, increasing the work to 4 volumes.
