Panorama from Camp Muir.Cowlitz Cleaver is a narrow, rocky ridge which extends southeast from Gibraltar between the Cowlitz and Nisqually glaciers, on the southeast slopes of Mt. Rainier. The name describes the function of this ridge, which divides ice flows, with part of the outflow reaching Puget Sound and part reaching Columbia River.PH Coll 291.173.
