  • The Rainier Valley's Redman baseball team played in a Seattle amateur City League, circa 1915-1920. Opponent teams in the league included aggregations from North Bend, Port Orchard, Wilkeson, Rainier Beach, Bothell, and Kirkland. Sponsored Seattle teams included Stacy Shown's, Covey Wet Wash, Battersby and Smith, and the Rainier Valley Athletic Club. Sponsored Seattle teams included Stacy Shown's, Covey Wet Wash, Battersby and Smith, and the Rainier Valley Athletic Club. The team played at Columbia Playfield, Lower Woodland, and Alki, and at one point, won fifteen out of sixteen games. less
