Edward Hitchcock letter to John Griscom, 1828 August 20

A letter to John Griscom in which Edward Hitchcock requests that Griscom give a favorable review to a translation of P. L. A. Cordier's "An essay on the temperature of the interior of the earth" that was done by Hitchcock's students. He also requests that Griscom send notices of the translation to his local newspapers. Some notes about tuition payments are in the margin of the verso.
