Caption on image: Novelty School Play Grounds. Novelty was a community on the Snoqualmie River 2 miles south of Duvall, 18 miles northeast of Seattle and 7 miles east of Redmond. It was settled in 1870 and by 1929 had a population of 400, by 1932 it was no longer listed as a place in Washington gazetteers. PH Coll 747.19.
