The term "solid fuels" refers to all types of coal. Some of administration's functions were: 1. To serve as a liaison between solid fuel producers and agencies of the federal government. 2. To recommend to the War Production Board programs for distribution of solid fuels deemed necessary to meet military and essential industrial requirements. 3. To provide adequate supplies of solid fuels for military, and essential industrial and civilian requirements. 4.
