- Description
The book contains two interconnected stories. One story reads front to back; the book is then turned upside-down and the second story is then read front to back. One story is of Esmeralda, a girl who escapes from an oppressive Catholic school, is eaten by a Jaguar, and is reborn as "a jaguar girl with many powers." The other story is of a bear haunted by his own loneliness and by his dreams of a being who sometimes manifests as a spotted kitten and at other times as a small girl. At the end of each story, Esmeralda and the bear meet. Signed by the author. Library copy in fur bag. Library copy is 34 of 50.
