This is a poster for the Summer Schools of Physical Education, Athletic Coaching and Religious Education offered at the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, from June 27 to July-30, 1927. The poster includes information about the School of Coaching which offered courses in football, track, boxing, wrestling, baseball Soccer, and Gymnastics. There can be seen four photographs as part of the poster. The photograph in the middle center of the poster depicts coach “Tuss” McLaughry of Brown University, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1962. Of all coaches inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, McLaughry is the only one with a winning percentage under .500. The photograph on the middle left side depicts the participants of the Summer School of 1926 in the College. The photo in the right middle side depicts the Judd Gymnasium building and the bottom photograph depicts Lake Massasoit located next to the College. Finally the poster also gives information about the credits, certificate, tuition, and admission requirements of the courses.
