    This is the diary of a Norwegian immigrant, Inga Sjolseth Kolloen, a Seattle resident who took the Chilcoot Pass on her way to Dawson City in Alaska as a part of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. Kolloen describes the day to day experiences of her travels including cooking, the challenges of weather, transportation and boredom.
