The Festival included a gymnastics show of the skills of students from Springfield College.     This photograph depicts a group of more than 30 men doing a dumb bell push up drill on Pratt Field on the International YMCA College, now Springfield College, campus as part of May Day Festival of 1920. The Festival included a gymnastics show of the skills of students from Springfield College. There can be seen a crowd watching the men standing in the background, some of the men are wearing a jacket with an “S” symbolizing Springfield College. The photograph is part of a collection of nine photographs, all depicting the gymnastics show. The series of photographs are numbered and were taken by photographer John Barnum for a local newspaper, the Springfield Republican.
