This lantern slide shows the Library Foyer in Marsh Memorial at Springfield College. Featured in the foyer is “Tradition and Progress,” a bronze sculpture created by Louis Potter and given to the school by the class of 1914. Marsh Memorial served as the college’s library until the opening of Babson Library in 1971. After Babson Library opened, Marsh Memorial was renovated for other uses. A large room with stained glass windows became a chapel. The building is still used for religious purposes today, offering regular worship services for members of the college. Other offices the building houses are the President’s Office, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Department of Public Safety. According to a sticker on the fame, this is #82 in a series. The slide has a few scratches. less
