Five receipts for "services rendered as home guard minute man." Three of the receipts are dated September 5, 1861. The other two are dated October 11 and October 12. The men named on the receipts received sums from $9 to $15 from the revenue collector of Hardeman Co. Receipts are a sampling of a larger collection at the Hardeman County Archives. The materials have been microfilmed and are available for research at the Tennessee State Library and Archives (Hardeman County Loose Records Project, Roll A-19, 437).
