    The Hobi Timber Company was incorporated in 1922 by the former president and manager of the Willapa Logging and Timber Company and of the Hobi Logging Company, Frank D. Hobi. The Hobi Timber Company had operations in the Cook Creek area. The Hobi family sold its interest in the Hobi Timber Company in 1927, and it was taken over by the Corkery Brothers and Arnold Brandis. The company was no longer in existence by 1940. Frank D. Hobi went on to co-found the Lindberg & Hobi Company, with logging operations at Mineral in Lewis County. Aberdeen is a city in Grays Harbor (formerly called Chehalis) County. The town was platted by Samuel Benn in 1884 on his homestead. Benn was born in New York City and in 1856 he came to San Francisco. Three years later he moved to Washington Territory and settled on the Chehalis River.
