John H. Williams letter to Asahel Curtis about gathering materials for a picture theater in Tacoma, December 29, 1912
Williams wrote to Curtis about the potential of a picture theater opening in Tacoma and asks if he would be interested in taking some of the moving pictures. Williams says "The thing is bigger than it looks when one speaks merely of a picture theater. It is the importance of using modern methods of showing industrial processes, and the superiority of scenic pictures with action as a means of interesting tourists.".
