- Description
Pair of heavily beaded breech cloths decorated with Ojibwe floral design. Exhibited at the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893 as part of the Becker County Indian Exhibit and attributed to the "Becker County Indian Industries." The smaller breech cloth is shown hanging in the lower right in a photograph of the "American Indian collection of Mrs. Jessie C. Yeats, Becker County, Minnesota" (#4969) from the Becker County Historical Society. Mrs. Jessie C West (misspelling for photograph) was Becker County's representative at the Columbian Exposition at Chicago in 1893.
