Black horsehair-upholstered rocking chair with partially upholstered arms. Back curved, ending in slight scroll. Arms curve around to front and back, up to underside of arms, with fleur de lis and curved design. Bottom edge of front seat rail has molded rim, back legs bowed slightly to rocker, front less so. H 39" x W 20" x D 19". Belonged to Pickarel family (friends of Abraham Lincoln), and was said to be Abraham Lincoln's "favorite chair.
