A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Jacob Bigelow discusses plant specimens and adds to the list of those he would like "Miss White" (presumably Orra White) to paint. He includes specific instructions regarding size and details. Included on the verso is a sketch of details of a corn plant, to be used as a guide.
