Description | Prohibition Increases Drunkenness. With more than half the people of the United States living in prohibition territory, the annual report of the U.S. Commissioner of Internal Revenue shows the consumption of all kinds of liquor to be increasing. For 1912: 187,571,808 gallons. For 1913: 193,606,258. Increase distilled liquors: 6,034,450 gallons. Prohibition does not prohibit, but it robs states, counties and communities of revenue...Register, work and vote against Initiative measure No. 3. |
