The Forensic of Pi Kappa Delta + Rituals of Initiation and Installation

Ottawa University, Gangwish Library: The Pi Kappa Delta Collection; 19 page bound paper printed booklet of The Forensic issue 3, Series 6. On the cover "Please preserve this copy" is printed at the top of the page. Handwritten on the front in black ink is "Rituals of Initiation and installation" The contents contain one of the first formal documentations of the Rituals and Ceremonies of Pi Kappa Delta. The issue combines this and normal sections of The Forensic. This copy is in excellent condition with little sign of wear or deterioration. The covers are pale green with black titling. Besides the annotation on the cover there is a handwritten pencil annotation on the left column of page 4 commenting on the "Ritual of Initiation" between a speech by Cancellarius and then Malleatorius. The notation reads: "show key." This version appears to contain all the mystical elements that would continue on for several other versions but be excised in later adaptations, and is certainly the longest version. Other information is also included. On the inner cover it contains a list of the national council officers. Dr. J.R. Macarthur of California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA is listed as President with Professor Egbert Ray Nichols of University of Redlands, Redlands, CA as Vice President. There is also a listing of chapters. 17 states are listed as having chapters. These states are: California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas (contains the most schools - 7), Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota (second most number of schools - 5) , and Wisconsin.
