Visible beside Perrin's right foot is the Early Ammonia Servicer (EAS) and prominently visible in the foreground is the Space to Ground Antenna (SGANT) antenna. EVA 1 included the attachment of a Power and Data Grapple Fixture (PDGF) to the truss. Perrin represents CNES, the French Space Agency.
